Advertisement: Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy

Within my text the explotation of the Hitchhiker's Guide could be an advertisment to all society. To have the answer to life could be the commercial for scientist to test therory of such a number, 42. Least of all the public notice of aliens and higher life could be a real advertisement for scientist and citizens of the state; thus, we will all question our surroundings.

Conflict: Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy

Conflict: a disagreement or clash between ideas, principles, or people
On the bases of this defintion in my own text I have found that their are a couple of confilcts. Conflict such as those that follow:
1. man vs nature: Arthur Dent and Mice(Frankie and Benjy)
2. man vs self: Arthur Dent and personal belief in whether everything is real
3.man vs god\fate: Arthur Dent and question of life
4.man vs self: Trillian and purpose of being with Zaphod
5. man vs god\fate: Zaphod and the answer to life
The major conflict in this story was the qiestion of life, although they had the answer to life, 42, they never really had the question of life or did they???

Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Mice

In life we all comtemplate about the our purpose, our desinty, and our goals. Through it'll we lay down at night not knowing the answer to life. Well in my book, The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, answer it. First, to bring up to speed, Arthur and the gang have unloaded on a planet in search of the Heart of Gold. While on the planet they become seperated and Arthur meets an elderly man named Slartibarfast. As he engages with him learing how palnets were made and the purpose of their destruction, Zaphoid Beeblbox and Ford engage in conversation in which Zaphoid explains that he became president to steal the ship they are currently inhabiting; thus, he has set out in search of Magrathea(where they are now). On Arthur's end he dicscovers that Sla rtibarfast created Earth and that he is now creating a new one.
Not to diverge your attention from the story, but would you do if you found out that the Earth was ran by mice? Well when the gang commentce back together, Arthur is bombarded with this notion. Two little mice, Benjy and Frankie, have summoned Arthur for his brain. Arthur learns that Earth was being ran by these two little mice, that the answer to life is 42, but they have yet to find out the question of life. The mice want to pay Arthur money for his brain because they feel that the question of life lays in his memory of Earth. Of course Arthur refuses the money and a battle occurs. Whether or not Arthur's brain was taken I won't tell, but I an say the ending is worth it....the answer and question of life...

Star Wars: Thoughts & Commentary

Over all the film Stars Wars, The Empire Strikes Back, was intriguing. The external battle between rebellion and empire brings forth the true internal battle between Luke and Vader. From watching the film I picked up on conventions/themes such as teach--student, evil v good, love--loyalty, and etc. Luke himself has an internal battle dealing with becoming a true Jedi master, simply because he has yet to complete his training. Although the little training he learned helped him some what, it wasn't enough to stop Vader.
The classic enemies--friends also played a minor roll in the film. When Han decides to trust an old friend he in turn betrays him to save his city. Of course his deceit was induced by fear and force but it still remains. In the end, his friend helps them escape and must help to save Han. Of course the constant engagement of Leia's love for Han plays part in the film too. Her love for Han is what helps drives anger and aggression out of her; thus, she too becomes physically involved in battle.
In the the film was terrific. From the classic themes to the conventions, I enjoyed my self. I feel as though color and scenery played major roles in the film as well as music.

Star Wars: segment 1

Star Wars is a film that has had a major role in film dynamics and the science fiction community. Although many have seen each fim, there are still amny who haven't viewed the Empire Strikes Back film. I myself have just been introduced to this segement, but I have found this peice of film intriguing. Darth Vader's obsession to find young Luke pocesses him to risk his men's lives. At the sight of failture, of any mission, he continues to kill his commander of his men. While on the run, I view that the classic theme of love plays a major role in this film. Between the princess and Han Solo I have previewed a constant attraction; thus, this allows minor arguments and passionate scences to unfold in the film. Of course the couple who seems to always fight seem to get together eventually after near death or after a dramatic death. In this film is occurs while fixing the ship after being damaged by enemies. Another aspect of theme in the film is between Yoda and Luke. Of course like in most fighting fims the young student finds teachings to be difficult and tend to become fustrated. Like the faithful teacher Yoda proves to Luke that all his restraints are only in his mind not in the battle itself. The film contiues to unfold slowly with mnior attrubutes toward classic themes and motifs. I find that the music in this films plays a major role. Furthmore, with each scence the same piece is contued to be played allowing viewers to know that it's time to pay attention.

Hitchhiker's Guide: Update

Making progess, I have been to new and interesting characters. When we left off, Arthur and Ford were being thrown off the Vogon's ship. Well entering chapter 11, I was introduced to Zaphod Beeblebox and Trillan. While passing the Plural Z Alpha Section they picked of Arthur and Ford. Once, coming face to face the four of them had some intriging comments\commentary to amongst each other.
As Ford was once stranded on Earth, Zaphod Beeblebox had come to Earth and had engaged in a party. Of course at this party Arthur had tried talking with Trillan, who was named Patrica at the time, but Zaphod came through a took her away. Between all of that Ford and Zaphod are cousins. Once all of that was cleared up, they began to continue with their travel through space.
Currently they are hoverig the planet, the Heart of Gold...
